Welcome to South Padre Island, Texas
Welcome to South Padre Island, a beach destination located on the tropical tip of Texas. This island resort getaway is known for its beautiful beaches, unique ecology, warm waters, fishing, water sports and great friendly atmosphere. AACE Rentals offers condos and houses on the beachfront, on the bayfront and on the interior. No matter where you stay you are within walking distance of both beach and bay. South Padre Island is only 3/4 of a mile wide and many of its fine restaurants and activites are located within a 10 mile area. Visitors here choose to get around on foot, on bike, on rollerblades, on scooter and sometimes even by car.

There are multiple beach access points (usually found on every other block) which are connected by a pedestrian lane on Gulf Blvd. Guests can also enjoy several waterfront parks. To the south of the bridge, Isla Blanca Park features the island's best surfing and fishing on our extended rock jetty. The the north of South Padre town there is Andy Bowie park which allows visitors to drive on the beach and explore the undeveloped Texas coastline.

Other Eco-friendly attractions include The Birding and Nature Center which features an extensive bayfront boardwalk and even its own resident Alligator! The sea turtle rescue facility, Sea Turtle Inc. is a wonderful place to visit and see some of our local sea life. There are a number of dolphin watch and eco-tours. These boat trips take tourists out on the Laguna Madre Bay to get an up close view of our local pods of dolphins and explore the sea creatures that call this unique body of water home.

Fishing is a popular activity on South Padre. Here you can choose to wade fish in the bay, walk out on the jetties for some sea fishing, surf fish on the beach or take a boat out for either bay or deep sea fishing. Our area is considered to be one of the finest sports fishing destinations in the country and the wide variety of species and fishing opportunities makes it a special place.

There are all kinds of other watersports found on South Padre. You can jet ski, parasail, kayak, take a banana boat ride, sail, kite board, paddle board, wind surf or take surfing lessons.

The whole family can enjoy a trip to Schlitterbahn water park, a visit to the Brownsville Zoo, a great view from top of the Port Isabel Lighthouse or an adventure on the Black Dragon Pirate Ship. There is no shortage of activities in our area.

For those who prefer to enjoy a resort style vacation, Padre Island has plenty to offer. Make an appointment for a spa day, lounge by the pool, walk leisurely on the beach or enjoy some of our fine dining and entertainment. Restaurants and bars are found on the Gulf front, the bay front and anywhere in between! Enjoy some of our local seafood or live music in island style.

Be sure to shop the historic Light House Square across the bridge in Port Isabel and visit the Port Isabel Museum to see artifacts from shipwrecks and our pirate history.

South Padre Island is a fun, friendly, beach destination that we are sure you and your family will want to visit again and again.
